Still Becoming- Faithful

What do we actually bring to the table when it comes to our relationship with God? That question sits at the heart of this exploration of faith drawn from Hebrews 11 and Mark 9. The message is clear: God provides everything from salvation to sanctification, but there is one thing He does not hand to us, and that is faith. Faith is ours to develop, seek out, and grow. The image of a great banquet table where everyone brings something is a striking one, and it challenges us to ask honestly what we are contributing. The story of a desperate father in Mark 9 brings this tension to life in a deeply human way. He comes to Jesus with a suffering son and a fragile hope, saying the words many of us have felt but rarely admitted out loud: help my unbelief. That raw honesty is not a disqualifier. It is actually the beginning of something real. Faith is not a fixed destination we arrive at once and stay. It is a living, growing thing that expands when we press through hard moments rather than retreat from them. When life does not go the way we expected or prayed for, we face a defining question: will we let that difficulty shrink our faith, or will we let it reveal how much more God is capable of than we originally imagined?
